Hello to all, by now you have notices some changes to the WLVC site and I thought I should take a little time to go over them so you all know what they are and what the site can do now!

First lets start with the AIM Widget:

This nifty little widget let you talk to the DJ’s of WLVC without even signing into AIM. Just enter your name at the bottom and type away. If there is someone on the air, they will respond as soon as they can.

Next We have Google Friend Connect, or the reason for that sign in button at the top of the home page.

Once Signed in using a Gmail, Yahoo, or AIM account, you will see this at the top of the main page:

If you go to the “Get Involved” page, you can see the other members of the site and post comments and media such as YouTube embeds that you think other members may enjoy:

So there you go, Join up, support your DJs and help make WLVC a more social website.

Finally you can listen to WLVC anywhere you get 3G or Wi-fi service (possible even Edge, but it spent a lot of time buffering when I tried it) on your iPhone or iPod touch! Now you can listen to all your favorite DJ’s anywhere, even record your favorite shows for later listening! Simply get the free app FStream (App Store Link) from the iTunes App Store and configure it like this:

Go to favorites once the app launches and click edit at the top of the screen, click add new station. When the dialog comes up, enter the following settings.

Hit “Save” and go to “More” at the bottom of the screen. To enable playback while not on a Wi-Fi network, enter the following settings:

There you go! now when you tap play and tap the name of the station, you can listen to WLVC where ever you are, you don’t even need to be near a computer!
